The Everyday Gay appreciates sports and then we see posters like these and really appreciate sports! Technically, the poster is from 2006 (oh those Europeans and their fashion-forward ways!), but the symbol (and saying) is timeless: “Would you also beat up your favorite player for this?”

The poster comes from Germany’s Maneo — an organization/project devoted to anti-violence against gays. Scope out their website (heads-up: it’s in German). It reminds us a lot of Athlete Ally – an organization we really dig (and a website we can read!).

But no matter what language you speak, the universal meaning rings true:Score for gays in sports everywhere.
